Radioheadの曲は往々にしてそうだけど、ネガティブ思考で被害者意識が強い。
とはいえ自転車に乗ることや電車が通過することですら結構怖い僕にとっては共感する部分がとても多かったり。何が怖いってそこに悪意があろうがなかろうが判断を誤れば一瞬で認識すらできずに死ぬこと。車はそういうことが起こり得るものの最たる例だろう。
ただ、この曲はそういったモヤモヤをかき消すような清々しいロックナンバー。その中で僕に響くのは中盤の2節
”君が今日いなくなったら耐えられない 言い残したことがあるのに”
本当にそう。不意に訪れるそういう瞬間以上に僕を困惑させるものはないので。そして、誰かにとって僕もそうだったとしたら、あんまり自分を省みない行動はできないなあって思うわけですよ。無理せず頑張っていこう。またね。
